British friends returned to the UK take care of their parents, and were flummoxed and frustrated when folks in their congregation asserted that the Bible verse which reads, “Do not be misled …” was supposed to be read as, “Do not be ‘mizzled.’” I’m not sure how they got any meaning out of it, since a surrounding verse uses the word, “mislead.”
